Covered California is implementing the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in California in a joint partnership between the California Health Benefit Exchange and the California Department of Health Care Services. Covered California has information on health insurance options, providers and other topics, such as a comparison tool for evaluating coverage and costs. Open enrollment for 2016 coverage begins Nov. 1, 2015, and continues through Jan. 31, 2016.
