Consumer Federation Announces Primary Election Endorsements
The Consumer Federation California has endorsed these candidates in June 2010 Democratic Primary elections:
Mary Salas, Senate District 40
Richard Pan, Assembly District 5
Bob Wieckowski, Assembly District 20
Luis Alejo, Assembly District 28
Betsy Butler, Assembly District 53
Roger Hernandez, Assembly District 57
Candidates in these races were invited to complete a questionnaire covering various consumer protection issues, and were then invited to an interview with members of the CFC’s Board. CFC’s Executive Committee reviewed the interview panel’s recommendations and approved these endorsements.
‘The candidates we endorsed have solid records of standing up for the interests of California consumers. We look forward to working with them when they take office in the state legislature,’ said Richard Holober, CFC Executive Director.
Consumer Federation of California is a non-profit consumer advocacy organization, founded in 1960. Every year, CFC advocates on dozens of bills before the state legislature. CFC publishes an annual scorecard of lawmakers’ votes on key consumer protection bills.
